Martin County Historical Association. https://martincountynchistoricalsociety.org/ P.O. Box 468, Williamston, NC 27892. The association was founded in 1957. They own the Asa Bigg’s House in Williamston, which serves as their headquarters and as a depository for all of their historical documents. The research room is available by appointment only. A quarterly newsletter is published digitally on their website. They sell the “Martin County Heritage” book and other publications and souvenir items in their giftshop. The society publishes a monthly e-newsletter, the NCGS News, and their journal, the North Carolina Genealogical Society Journal, is available in digital and print formats. Also available to members are the Delamar Revolutionary War Transcriptions, the index to the Secretary of State Revolutionary Military Papers, 1767-1855, and more. Their current events are held at various locations but often at the Red Banks Church in Greenville (address above).
